Name: Komaki Da
Age: 4,547
Gender: Male
Race: Snake based half demon
Anime: Inuyasha
Cannon?: No
Appearance:
Weapons: Sorcery and fangs
History: Komaki Da was hatched along with eight siblings. Yes. Hatched. His father was a mortal, and his mother a snake demon. From the moment he and his siblings entered the world, their parents refused to lie to them, at let them know outright that they'd have a rough time of it. Both Komaki's mother and father were powerful spellcasters. His father, a fallen priest, his mother, a dark priestess of demonkind. They instructed their children in their dark arts, and taught them well.
...But as time went on, Komaki's father aged and died, and his siblings began to leave the nest. Only he, and two others remained and continued in their parent's dark arts. Well.... one might suppose that dark is a matter of perspective, as it is all in how the user performs their magic that determines whether it is good or evil. After a time, Komaki's eldest brother left the nest and journeyed to help people with his powers. He became a very successful merchant in fact, selling enchanted wares that none could find anywhere else. With no strings attached. His younger brother who remained also departed eventually. He fell into the path of evil utterly, and later became a rampaging force of destruction throughout the Western lands, and was, in Komaki's opinion, tragically slain by the Inu no Taisho, after a battle that lasted three weeks. And so Komaki and his mother were all that remained.
Komaki continued his studies in the dark arts for a time, but eventually his mother began to sicken and die. Komaki used what craft she had taught him to prolong her life, and may, perhaps have been able to save him. But a daiyoukai invaded the forest they had made their home, and hunted anyone down who bore a trace of power. Komaki defended their home as best he could, and mortally wounded his foe. But the backlash of their battle was too much for his mother and she perished. Komaki was darkened by the event and left their forest shortly after using his powers to burn it to the ground.
He ventured far and wide, trying to find his own path in life. He was filled with a vengeant rage at his mother's death and was sorely tempted to undo his wrath upon all who neared him. But his younger's brother example kept his mind steady and even and he chose not to act in such a manner. But his eldest brother's idea of a merchant struck a new chord in him and he moved to act in a similar manner. A merchant indeed, but one would be hard pressed to find a regular price in which some third party did not lose at his shop. Komaki began a horrific abuse of his powers. He would find lone travellers on the road, and transfigure them into grotesque or terrible shapes and imprison them, adding them to his "Collection" and would later sell them as bodyguards or pets to those who could find his shop.
The shop itself was a bit of an adventure. Komaki did not want to restrict himself to a specific location, yet needed a shop large enough to house his many wares. He thought it over for awhile, and finally figured out how to do it. It was a lengthy enchantment, but he finally managed to find a small temple, and, upon turning the inhabitants of the temple into mice and imprisoning them, Komaki performed a long and difficult ritual. The ritual took three days to accomplish but Komaki was able to banish the temple into the realm between dimensions. Between the realms of heaven, hell and earth, and he could bring it forth whenever he chose, wherever he chose.
Upon the creation of his temple, he resumed his travels, gradually becoming a darker, manipulative and more twisted man as he went along. He gradually began collecting various artifacts as he went along as well, and even came into the possession of a shard of the Shikon no Tama at one point. However, he sensed Naraku's approach, and was able to sell the shard to him, in exchange for the power to form Naraku's demonic barriers. Normally such things would be untransferable, but Komaki had his ways....
And so he continued to work his trade of misery and despair for millenia, preying on the weak and helpless or the greedy. Those without caution and who tread on his turf carelessly were almost always doomed to meet him, and therefore meet a terrible fate. The prize item he currently holds is the Yata Mirror, one of the three sacred treasures of Japan.
Personality: Komaki is normally fairly docile and doesn't bother people very much. He'll hang back and avoid conflicts if he can. Only problem is that he's easily angered, and when he's in a rage he takes extreme measures to get back at the person who enraged him, usually in the form of a curse of some kind. He's charismatic, if not very twisted. He holds nothing but spite and disgust for the world, and enjoys taking his own suffering out on others.
While it was mentioned that he's fairly docile, he IS easily bored, and, when bored, he can go on cursing sprees. These are usually temporary curses, but ones that can cause huge commotions and general misfortune all around.... except for Komaki who just plain enjoys watching the chaos that ensues.
Attacks:
Spacial distortion: Komaki can disrupt space with his magic. In this manner he can rearrange the interior of buildings as he pleases, and even make some places larger on the inside, than they are on the outside, or vice versa.
Demonic Barrier: Komaki is capable of creating demonic barriers on par with those created by Naraku.
Shikigami: Komaki can create shikigami out of paper, or a similar substance. He can do so by placing the souls of the departed into paper and the paper takes the form of the spirit while they were alive, and carries all their abilities. He can then control the shikigami with his willpower. He often uses them as clerks around his shop.
Alternatively he may simply animate a shikigami with magic, but shikigami animated this way are very fragile and weak and no good for anything except menial tasks. They are also incapable of speech when animated as such.
Misfortune: Komaki is capable of cursing people with misfortune. The strength of this curse may vary, and go from something as simple as the weather always going wrong for a particular individual to a potentially fatal curse as lethal experiences may occur (for example, traffic accidents may occur frequently around them, especially when they go out into the streets).
Size: With his curse magic, Komaki may reduce a person's size, or increase it, if he so feels like it.
Transfiguration: Komaki's favorite method of curse is transfiguration. He can transform any living organism into nearly anything; inanimate or not.
Pain: Komaki is capable of performing curses that simply induce extreme pain to whomever is the target.
Charm: Komaki can also use his spells for good on occasion. Charm causes someone to look almost irresistably attractive to those of the opposite sex. People of weak willpower will be almost unable to stay away.
Telekinisis: Komaki is capable of limited telekinisis. While he cannot teleport himself, he is able to levitate objects, or assault people with his mind. He may also teleport other objects, provided they are less than 25kg in weight, and inorganic.
Bolt: Komaki releases twin stunning bolts of energy from his eyes. If they strike an inorganic object they will cause it to burst into blue flames, which act like ordinary flames, except that they spread twice as fast, and will even be able to burn on concrete or steel (but not water, or any other substance that is non-flammable). If they strike an organic object they will simply strike them with a concussive force equivalent to being hit by a small car.
Friends/Family:
Mother- Dead
Father- Dead
1st sibling- running a very successful business as a rare merchandise salesman. Rare being usually magical items.
2nd sibling-Killed by demon slayers.
3rd sibling- Has married and settled down on a farm.
4th sibling- Komaki IS the 4th sibling
5th sibling- Settled down to a hermits life, and mastered divination, and passes by the years watching the present, future and past.
6th sibling-Abandoned magic and picked up martial arts training for a time, and trained many students, but was eventually killed protecting his lover from a drunk party of samurai.
7th sibling-Killed by the Inu no Taisho in a long and fearsome battle.
8th sibling-Left Japan to see the world. Komaki has not heard from her since.
Tsubaki- He once met the dark priestess and befriended her, but was unsurprised and unmoved by her death. He did, briefly communicate with her spirit, and reminded her that to be devoured by ones own power leaves only an eventual death, and she should not have been consumed by hatred.
Strengths:
-High level of magic abilities
-As a half snake demon, he is physically stronger, faster and more resiliant than humans.
-Much more flexible than humans as well.
-Venom in his fangs
-Extremely intelligent
-Has artifacts that can perform nearly any form of magic he cannot.
Weaknesses:
-Despite his higher-than-human strength and speed, he's not very cut out for close quarter combat and medium level martial arts training (medium level being just barely over Mr. Satan from DBZ) will be sufficient to gain the edge in close quarters combat with him. Weapons may also help, as he is untrained in any form of weapon combat.
-Beyond what is listed in his attack section, any other form of magic he may want to use is limited to rare artifacts in his possession or rituals. Rituals may take a long time (3 post minimum for something very small like... say.... summoning a weak demon, and requiring a three day minimum for most tasks). And Artifacts are "clumsy" for him to use, meaning he cannot use them effectively without a lot of preparation (2 posts worth) or a 2 post ritual.
