Weapons:
“Blood Magic” (Vampire Skills)
Spell Magic
Necromancy (Main Special Ability)
Personality:
Malicious, manipulative, sometimes eccentric, sarcastic, and with a temper to match. Most words and actions to not get her fired up, but there are plenty that if mentioned or done, she may indeed decide that the perpetrator needs to be taught a lesson. The woman despises being disrespected, especially during a time when she is being cordial. However, it is very rare to see her vendictive and sadistic side, not to mention, go from poise and proper to monster epitomized.
Dyre always acts calm, and usually more than a little arrogant. From living so long, she has an ammased amount of knowledge in her castle's library, and loves to read, making her quite scholarly about certain things. Magic of all types is a large interest for her when it comes to research. She loves water, and flying over it at night, but cannot swim. She also despises fire. Dyre is a very prideful indevidual and once she gives her full loyalty to somebody, will be completely devout in that loyalty. In her own fashion that is.
She makes a moral point to be true to her words, and will not directly lie. Ever. However, she is not above leaving out important information when it suits her in order to give somebody a false impression. She is a sly woman, and will do whatever it takes to get what she wants. Dyre prefers to manipulate her pieces from behind the scenes, and doesn't rely on minions for anything “important” beliving that they will screw up if she does. She will generaly stay away from direct confrontations and strike a series of deals that end up in her favor when all is said and done.
Insecurities:
Dyre always needs to be in control of the situation. If she perceives that control has been taken away from her, she will get sloppy and irritated. Also, the woman cannot stand the feeling of being powerless. It will not turn her “emo” or anything, but she will become much more aggressive and maniacal in her deeds in order to do anything possible to regain that control. Like many vampires are stereotyped to be, Dyre is a lonely creature. Even though she lives by herself, her needs drive her to be a woman who seeks physical pleasure, often sleeping with her food before eating it. However, that doesn't mean she'll sleep with just anybody.
History:
Dyre is unaware of her true origins. Her real name is Vesta Dyre Meiriella. She is a one of a kind monster who has stayed hidden in the Makai for milenia, secluded away from Spirit World's notice by her Master. She was born a Demon Vampire to Draco Mathias Meiriella and Gwendolyn Brisis Meiriella. Draco was the original “vampire”, and turned Gwendolyn, who had previously been a full-blooded shadow demon. The two gave birth to Vesta. She was a “spoiled” girl. Not really. However, as an only child was given much free reign while growing up. In later years however, Gwendolyn secretly hated her daughter, jealous of Vesta's blossoming prowess as a seductress, and hated the fact that Draco always had his attentions on Vesta rather than his own wife. Draco, as can probablly be guessed, was a very insestrial parent and lusted after his own daughter. He was unsuccessful in his attempts to bed with her however, and to this day Dyre is unaware of her father's hidden motives. She had looked up to him like no tomorrow, and when her parents were killed, vowed to one day kill the murderer.
In order to do this, she took up the Necromancing arts under the instruction of a necromancing demon overlord in one of the deeper levels of the Makai. True to the phrase “keep your friends close and your enemies closer”, she worked very closely as “The Necromancer”'s apprentice. And what a talented, hardworking student she was, as her drive was to one day figure out a way to kill the unkillable. She spent 1,500 years as his student.
For the last five centuries, Dyre was taken into servitude by a magic user. It is theorized that The Necromancer had her “shifted” in order to keep her from one day reaching a potential enough to surpass him. Her memories had been erased and messed with so that she is led to believe that it was Spirit World who killed her parents (among other fiddling around within her mind to make her a loyal little pet). Because of this, the woman has spent many years hunting various spirit detectives and stealing their souls as her revenge. However, it has become that she will tend to leave the actual spirit detectives alone (unless they show great promise and strength) and stay toward decimating the Spirit Defense Force at whatever chance she can get. Despite being a servent to this Spellcaster from “The Planet” (FFIII world), she wasn't treated badly and was given a loose leash so long as she was there when he wanted, remained a loyal good girl. However, there had been times where she crossed the line and was duely punished. She was used mostly for nighttime company and taking out rivals to the master. The most popular form of time-out, was turning her into a fox. In this body all of her abilities were locked and she could not speak in words.
To this day, the woman lives by herself in a black castle deep in the Makai. Her master does not stay with her, but instead calls on her when he has need/want of her. As such, her ties to this mysterious sorcerer are often left unknown. It is from him that she has picked up a proficiancy for spell magic, and a couple of books from which she may learn from at some point.
Skills:
Lilith's Blessing – She is a beautiful woman, and Dyre makes no effort to hide or dim her looks. With her upper-class upbringing and lifestyle, she always makes sure she's both looking and acting her best. Her talents behind closed doors speak for themselves, as she's got the moves to match. She's a talented seductress and uses it to her advantage.
Super Sniffer – Dyre's nose for blood is uncanny in its accuracy, and can often pick out not only a person's blood type, but their toxins level, vague diet (somebody who eats a lot of junkfood will smell sugary, where are somebody with a lot of protein would smell metallic), and vague creature type (kind of demon, halfling, human, special human, magic user). Some of these are narrowed down with the addition of taste. She sees blood like fine wines: to be savored and enjoyed. Her nose is what she depends on to pick her prey.
Potions Master – Much of this woman's skill revolves around the ability to create various potions. She has practiced with them for thousands of years, and can safely call herself a master at the art.
Bonding - When biting a victem, Dyre may choose to bond that person to her in servatude using her vampire magic. That bond cannot be broken unless A) released by tasting her blood, B) bitten by another vampire to drain enough blood and remarked as their slave C) turned into a full Vampire. Under the bond, the person cannot lie, betray, or decieve her in any fashon, and can keep a telepathic link to her. They will be able to see very well at night, and speed will increase moderately. Direct Commands they must obeyed though, and they are incapable of bringing harm to her (even if they wish/attempt to kill/harm her, their bodies will stop them as they attempt it) including biting her back (in the case of a fellow vampire) in order to release their own bond.
Hypnosis - By making direct eye contact and a twitch of movement, she can put her would-be victems in a state of transfixion. This lets her make suggestions, the person thinking them his own ideas. Also known as the "Sex Beam".
color=purple]Blood Oath - a blood sealed promise, that if willfully broken will kill the perpetrator by turning the blood incompatible with the rest of the body.
Familiar - Creates a pact with somebody/something, an agreement between summoner and summoned.
Necromancy – the Art of reanimating/summoning the dead.
Attacks:
Shadow Manipulation – This demonic skill was inherited from her mother. Vesta can maniuplate even the slightest shadow in an area, and even use her energy to make that shadow grow or harden. Her mastery over this usually low-level skill is so proficiant that she has even mastered how to use the shadows to transport material objects within itself. This involves a simultanious “devouring” and “uncovering” of the object, just at parallel points in a bent plane of existance. This is also used as a popular method of travel over long distances so long as she knows exactly where she is going.
Soul Fire - Drawn from her own magic stored, powered by devoured-present souls and mostly used in a spirit-energy-rich location. Various spells of toxic green flame. As well as doing physical damage, may cause a biting chill or burn on the target's soul as well, doing damage to the spirit.
Dearly Departed - Summon souls back who have already crossed over into the beyond-beyond. This can be used for things like séances, short Spiritual attacks, or in rare cases to bring somebody back to life (includes side effects, not always stable/works, and has a high chance of killing the performer of the ritual).
Soul Snatch - A technique developed to rip a person's soul from their body (represented by a colored orb, or floating white puff depending).
Summon- Summons either an amount of undead specific to her will, or another of her familiars.
”Kiss of Death” – Not so much an actual attack, but a special lipstick of hers. This lipstick is held together with a fast-acting poison to give it's victem a very painful death within 5-10 minutes of mouth-mouth contact. As she is usually making out with the person when this poison is introduced, they never realize it until they're coughing up blood and it's too late.
Friends/Family:
Her Minions and Pets
RP Sample: (yes i copy-pasted from DR)
A nightclub. Loud music, strobe lights, tons of people grinding it up, and plenty of drugs and drinks to go around. Well, if you knew where to get the drugs that is. Vesta Meiriella stepped forth from the shadows of a corner of the party. She completely bipassed the bouncer this way, and also felt comfortable with the fact that she could use her shadow powers here without anybody noticing. Why? Because there was so much "chaos" that nobody would notice a sly shift of hand or two. The vampire woman was dressed in her usual up-class fashions, but this time with a shorter, more club-appropriate cut to it. She had to at least TRY to fit in if she wanted a good snack tonight. And that's what Vesta was here for. To find a tasty meal for the evening. She began to make her way onto the dance floor to find a good partner.
Anything Else:
Moral Alignment:
Whatever is to her gain (or what her master tells her).
Master's Control:
Control of Dyre is through the necklace (seen in pic) as well as her manipulated memories. Destroying the necklace will remove the control, but won't fix the memories unless the spell bound to the necklace is unweaved and countered.
About Demon Vampires:
This woman is one-of-a-kind breed. Dyre is to Demons, what Vampires are to Humans. Basically, the correlation is thus: Humans < Vampires = Demons < Demon Vampires. The “vampires” of the demon world, she's a monster that preys on other monsters. Creatures who are born as Demon Vampires, will age as a normal person up until a certain point in life (usually late teens/early twenties although can vary depending on the person), at which they stop physically aging. The liniage is Paternal, although Dyre is the only one in existance.
Feeding Habits:
+ Although she may feed on humans, unless they are “special” humans the blood will not revitalize her, nor be entirely healthy for her system. Too much feeding on humans will instead harm her system.
+ Feeding from “Special” humans is not much of a step up, but won't hurt her body's system.
+ Her stomach is so sensitive that the ingestion of any food aside from blood will cause her to become sick.
+ This demonic creature has the ability to devour souls. Devouring the soul gives her spiritual energy from which to tap Spirit Attacks/Spells/etc. They also revitalize her being like blood would.
+ Dyre can feed from a creature without killing it. If she does kill it through draining of blood and/or soul, it will become a ghoul.
Fertility:
Mostly Sterile. She isn't completely sterile, but my as well be. Can only be impregnated by fertile strains of Vampire, and even then it is quite rare. Many of the eggs are “duds”.
Turning:
Turning a vampire is the same functionality of Hellsing vampires. A victem is bitten, drained of blood, and then fed blood from the “parent” vampire. Upon awakening, the fledgling vampire is usually a very weak vampire and cannot go out in daylight at all, and must drink blood or else will grow weaker. A fledgling vampire becomes a full vampire when they drink their “first blood” from a live victem. Creatures turned by her will be turned into her strain of monster. All senses will be increased, along with strength, power, and stamina by a moderate amount. However, most demon vampires can stomach normal food as well, and only need to drink an average of about 8 ounces a day of actual blood (after becoming a full-fledge demon vampire though). The turned keep all of their usual powers with no major changes (don't gain any of hers either), and will 83% of the time retain fertility. Any ability passed on from one Demon Vampire to another is done through the genes of a fetus, like any other species.
Coffin:
Dyre has no need to sleep within a coffin, and keeps it hidden deep within her castle where hopefully none will ever find it's storage. However, if she is traveling abroad and will be staying for at least 24 hours, she must bring it with her. Although destroying the coffin (it is made of stone) will not automatically kill her, it will leave her severaly crippled and easily finished off. However, this is not recommended because if she escapes being finished off, there is a chance she may grow stronger, and won't need a coffin at all the next time.
Fox Form: [Click for Image]
The Master likes to turn Vesta into a fox. At first it used to be just for punishments (physical torture is more Dyre's satanic joy than his), but eventually escalated into whenever he had meetings and such. He would keep her around as an exotic pet of sorts, epecially in situations where he felt that he would be in need of her talents. Now he has become rather fond of his “pet”. As a result of this happening so many times, whenever Dyre enters a mindstate of complete docilness within a feeling of being trapped she will revert to fox form. This is from all the spell residue that has built up after being transfigured so often attaching itself to the emotions associated with its form. The emotions trigger the reversion. Within this form, she cannont speak in words and all of her abilities are sealed.
Talents:
Dyre is an excellent singer, and known for her talents as a musical artist who frequents the bar “Hellraiser” to preform. On nights that she comes to sing the place is usually packed. Dyre is also very adapt at playing piano. After all, she's had many centuries of practice. If she is not singing at Hellraiser, she is also just as likely to be an accompanist for another artist. Her musical preferences are Jazz and Classical. When it comes to dancing (she's been around the world several times and knows many dances as well), the woman favors Samba and Tango over everything else.
Strengths:
+ Very strong physically, intuition, speed, intelligence
+ Perfect vision at night with a long range, somewhat more than 3500 ft.
+ High flight stamina & skill.
+ Sun-resistant
+ Holy Resistant. “Blessed” objects (like crucifixes, or even blades), holy water, and other divine-attributed attacks hold minimal effect.
+ fast regeneration time, but cannot re-grow limbs, organs, etc.
+ A stake to the heart alone will not kill her (must be accompanied by decapitation)
Most Notable Weaknesses:
+ The curse of being a master of seduction. She can be easily seduced herself if the right buttons are pressed.
+ Her powers are attached to the bloodstream. When she is drunk, she looses control over that power and it will flow freely through her blood. Easily stolen at this point, but only through means of a vampire's drinking. Dyre has a very low tolerance for alcohol.
+ Cannot Swim. She will sink like a stone and become immobile. Fresh water will not harm her at all (except for drowning), however Ocean Water irritates her skin as if being burned and reacts negatively with her body.
+ Although Drye is strong enough to be resistant to sunlight, she cannot be exposed to it for more than several hours (less if the Noon sun, or any other direct sunlight is involved) before it starts to burn and decay her body.
+ Drinking from the blood of pure beings such as angels, unicorns, and deities will harm her.
+ Although Holy resistant, higher-powered skills such as the FF Spell “Holy”, and blessed weaponry will still harm her. It will also keep her from healing at her usual rate.
+ Using her powers takes blood energy. This means that any skills she uses, as well as the energy to complete everyday tasks such as eating and walking, depends on how much blood is in her system. Having all the blood drained from her will put her into “hybernation”. Little more than a pretty gray corpse.
+ Blood Infection. This infection causes a crystallization of her blood, which will seep out of the pores in her skin if the "energy pressure" isn't released through physical cuts. If left unchecked and the antidote unadministered, you can expect a case of "Taken for Granite". It only will occur when the Vampiric Demoness has a “Power Surge”. A power surge is denoted by too much energy flowing through her at one time. This is partly why she doesn't drink much, as when the energy runs freely through her system unchecked, it is more likely to surge if/when she drinks too much blood in a night.
+ Her coffin (see above).
+ Fox Form (See above).

- Skeletons - Any amount...depending on how many she feels necessary, uses the least amount of energy. Physical attacks will not kill them, they will just pull themselves back together. However immaterial attacks, magic, energy-infused, or blessed attacks will keep them from pulling themselves together.
- Ghouls - The zombie corpses of victems who've had their blood/soul devoured by her. Because they are comprised of mostly demons...these zombies retain the powers of their former selves. Typical Hellsing Ghouls.
- Carne - A giant, zombie-esque wolf creature from the pits of the Netherverse. It is immune to Holy attributes, and regular fire. Very Weak to Devil/Darkness Fire and Soul Fire only. The claws will do normal damage, however its saliva that drips from its mouth is a Decaying Curse. If it gets inside the body, it will decay the victem from the inside-out over 24 hours (antidote must be administered). If it gets the skin on the outside (a large amount to cover the person), it will decay the victem from the outside-in over 72 hours if no antidote is administered. If a small amount gets on the person, minimal damage will occur over the 72 hour period before it wears out (no antidote is needed, but nerve/flesh/muscle damage will be lasting).
- Shade - The most dangerous. It may ONLY be summoned in the duration of 11:59-12:01 (both day and night), and will ALWAYS vanish at 12:01 am/pm. It eats at Vesta's own lifeforce to use, but is an amorphous shadow summoned that eats 'everything'. Energy/magic of all types is just absorbed...making it stronger. Physical attacks too...and the opponent has to watch that he/she doesn'tget swallowed whole. Can be used as attack, or defense. It basically just devours everything it comes in contact with, friend and foe alike.

- Ghouls
- Bonding is based on the turning, a little
- Physical attributes associated with 'vampires' and blood as source of abilites
- Hypnosis and telepathic link to her fledglings/servents
- Blood as source of ability, and hybernation as well as weakness to blessed weaponry
- Soul devouring and soul appearance
- Makai, demons, etc
- Spirit World, Spirit Detectives, Spirit Defense Force
- Use of Spirit Energy from souls as a method of attack
- The Planet (FFIII)
- The Master (the sorceror she's subserviant to) is from that environment
- Use of Summons
- Treatment of souls as a “faith”(FFX) similar, and “phoenix down” like use of them.
